My heart is full from your comments. . .

Every day I take some time to read comments in response to the nearly 200 posts I have written.  I am truly amazed that so many of you take the time to read and then write back your thoughts.  I want you to know just how important you are to me.  Writing can be a lonely pursuit.  Your comments make it far less so.

There are so many things that can fill our hearts and that’s what this post is about.  A telephone call to or from a friend is one example.  So is an unexpected gift card or an email, or some snail mail from a long-lost friend.  Just having a stranger smile at us when our minds are “someplace else,” can fill us up too.  Or doing the same for some one else!

Did you ever consider that that might be why we are here, in fact?  To help fill the hearts of others?  Who knows if that’s true.  Until we get to the end of the journey we can’t know any thing for sure, but the many steps from here to there are surely made more meaningful if we place some focus every day on taking an action that would fill some one else’s heart.  Filling some one’s heart and remaining anonymous about it is even better!

I think a very good daily practice, along with prayer and meditation, eating a healthy breakfast and having an exercise routine; would be to make a verbal commitment to some one that we intend to do something unexpectedly kind for some one else that day.  It could be a friend or a stranger.  And then following through.  It’s been my personal experience that when I do that, the day flows smoothly and my own heart is made even fuller.

We have all heard that what we give away will come back to us.  Carefully selecting that which we want to give is terribly important.  Lest you think I am suggesting we do for others what they should actually do for themselves, rest assured.  That’s not what I mean.  Clearly every one has her own path, his own load to bare.  But simply being helpful or attentive in even a small way can make the difference that changes a person’s life forever.

In order to prepare yourself to do some “heart-filling kindnesses” in the future, make a list of what some of them might be.  Carry it with you.  Begin the practice of this immediately and watch your own life change.  It will. Absolutely.

Pretty insightful post. Never thought that it was this simple after all. I had spent a beneficial deal of my time looking for someone to explain this topic clearly and you’re the only one that ever did that. Kudos to you! Keep it up

Resources such as the one you mentioned right here will be incredibly helpful to myself! I’ll publish a hyperlink to this page on my individual weblog. I am sure my site website visitors will locate that fairly effective.

Hey – nice blog, just looking about some blogs, seems a fairly good platform you might be making use of. I’m currently making use of WordPress for several of my websites but looking to alter 1 of them around to a platform comparable to yours as a trial run. Something in particular you’d recommend about it?

Thank you for that smart critique. Me & my neighbour were preparing to do some research about that. We received a good book on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your facts. I am very glad to see these data which I was searching for a long time.
