Our journeys through life are often bumpy, some days very bumpy, but they are always in concert with God.\u00a0 God is every where we are.\u00a0 God was every where we ever were.\u00a0 In the silence.\u00a0 The moments of angst.\u00a0 The hours of confusion and doubt.\u00a0 We simply can\u2019t be where God is not.\u00a0 Even when we feel alone, we aren\u2019t alone.\u00a0 Especially when we feel alone, we aren\u2019t alone. \u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Learning to open our hearts to God and God\u2019s place on our spiritual path is one of the messages we are here to learn.\u00a0 And not just today but every day.\u00a0 It\u2019s why we live, in fact.\u00a0 Perhaps you are wondering how to open your heart?\u00a0 First, pray to have the desire for an open heart. In this next moment, quietly pray.\u00a0 And wait. You and I are surrounded by teachers, who some refer to as \u201chovering angels.\u201d They are waiting to show us how to open our hearts.\u00a0 That\u2019s why they have come into our lives. \u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Notice your teachers.\u00a0 They are in front of you \u00a0and behind you where ever you are.\u00a0 They are the women and men close to you at every gathering, your colleagues at work, the shoppers in the grocery store, even in the cars behind you on every freeway and city street.\u00a0 Our teachers never, ever fail to appear wherever we are.\u00a0 We can fail to notice them, however.\u00a0 And often do.\u00a0 But in these next few moments let\u2019s quietly meditate about the many ways we can notice our angels, particularly those wearing skin.\u00a0 Perhaps you want to also envision those who are unseen but ever present too.\u00a0 They are on assignment.\u00a0 Never doubt that.\u00a0 Each one of us will be \u201con assignment\u201d one day too.\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>As we practice living moment by moment with an open, loving heart, we will see the good in others without even trying.\u00a0 We will feel the peace that is promised when we give up the fight to be right.\u00a0 We will realize our necessity to the drama that is unfolding around us.\u00a0 We are always where we need to be every moment.\u00a0 Every moment.\u00a0 But when our hearts are closed, we separate ourselves from others, hindering our well being and theirs too,\u00a0 thus stopping the flow of love that heals.\u00a0 That heals each of us one act, one thought, one moment at a time.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let your mind quietly recall the many opportunities you had yesterday or last week, to make a difference in some one else\u2019s life.\u00a0 Savor those recollections, being grateful for the ones you took advantage of and committing to being more helpful and loving tomorrow.\u00a0 When our hearts are open, we see our opportunities. Let\u2019s continue to treasure these opportunities.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>And treasure the opportunities that others took to make a difference in your life.\u00a0 It\u2019s give and take.\u00a0 Give and take.\u00a0 One open heart to another open heart.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we are here. \u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n
