Our journeys through life are often bumpy, some days very bumpy, but<\/i><\/p>\n

they are always in concert with God. God is every where we are. God<\/i><\/p>\n

was every where we ever were. In the silence. The moments of angst.<\/i><\/p>\n

The hours of confusion and doubt. We simply can\u2019t be where God is not.<\/i><\/p>\n

Even when we feel alone, we aren\u2019t alone.<\/strong> Especially when we feel alone,<\/i><\/p>\n

we aren\u2019t alone.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Learning to open our hearts to God and God\u2019s place on our spiritual path<\/i><\/p>\n

is one of the messages we were born to learn.<\/i>\u00a0Perhaps you are wondering how to open<\/i><\/p>\n

your heart? First, pray to have the desire for an open heart. In this next<\/i><\/p>\n

moment, quietly pray. And wait. You and I are surrounded by teachers,<\/i><\/p>\n

who some refer to as \u201chovering angels.\u201d They are waiting to show us how<\/i><\/p>\n

to open our hearts. That\u2019s why they have come into our lives.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Notice your teachers. They are next to you, wherever you are. They sit in front of you <\/i><\/p>\n

and\u00a0<\/i>behind you where ever you are. They are the women and men close to you<\/i><\/p>\n

at every \u00a0gathering, your colleagues at work, the shoppers in the grocery<\/i><\/p>\n

ailes, even in the cars behind you on 75 or 35 or I 90. Our teachers never, ever<\/strong> fail<\/i><\/p>\n

to appear wherever we are. We can fail to notice them, however. And<\/i><\/p>\n

often do.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During these next few moments, \u00a0sit quietly and think about the<\/i><\/p>\n

many ways we can notice our “angels,” particularly those wearing skin.<\/i><\/p>\n

Perhaps you want to also envision those who are unseen but ever present<\/i><\/p>\n

too. They are on assignment<\/strong>. Never doubt that. Each one of us will be \u201con<\/i><\/p>\n

assignment\u201d one day too.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As we practice living moment by moment with an open, loving heart, we<\/i><\/p>\n

will see the good in others without even trying. We will feel the peace that<\/i><\/p>\n

is promised when we give up the fight to be right. We will realize our<\/i><\/p>\n

necessity to the drama that is unfolding around us. We are always where<\/strong><\/i><\/p>\n

we need to be every moment.<\/strong> Every moment. But when our hearts are<\/i><\/p>\n

closed, we separate ourselves from others, hindering our well being and<\/i><\/p>\n

theirs too, thus stopping the flow of love that heals. That heals each of us<\/i><\/p>\n

one act, one thought, one moment at a time.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let your mind quietly recall the many opportunities you had yesterday or<\/i><\/p>\n

last week, to make a difference in some one else\u2019s life. Savor those<\/i><\/p>\n

recollections, being grateful for the ones you took advantage of and<\/i><\/p>\n

committing to being more helpful and loving tomorrow. When our hearts<\/i><\/p>\n

are open, we see our opportunities. Let\u2019s continue to treasure these<\/i><\/p>\n

opportunities.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And treasure the opportunities that others took to make a difference in<\/i><\/p>\n

your life. It\u2019s give and take. Give and take. One open heart to another<\/i><\/p>\n

open heart. That\u2019s why we are here.<\/i><\/p>\n

Sit quietly with your recollections. Treasure them. Breathe them in.<\/i><\/p>\n
