I looked at the date of my last post and was shocked. \u00a0It has been over a month since I connected with the readers of this blog. \u00a0Please accept my apology. \u00a0Travel took me away from this particular task and then regrouping after all the travel took it’s toll too. \u00a0I am becoming a bit more aware of my aging body every trip, it seems. \u00a0My dilemma is that I love, absolutely love what I do when I am on the road facilitating workshops. \u00a0Connecting in such an intimate way with the thousands of women and men over the years has fed my soul. \u00a0It has fed my curiosity, my willingness to go the extra mile, and my commitment to continue honing my own spiritual program. \u00a0When there are that many payoffs for doing what I do, it’s not an easy decision to do less of it.<\/p>\n
Doing less is what I have under consideration, however. \u00a0I don’t ever want to quit doing what I do completely. \u00a0And having a book underway is a must. \u00a0But keeping as many balls in the air as I have juggled these last 10 or 12 years isn’t realistic. \u00a0What does change look like, for me? \u00a0That’s the big question. \u00a0And that’s where my focus is drawn to.<\/p>\n
Some would consider this a no-brainer. \u00a0Retirement calls to many so easily. \u00a0I never wondered what it might mean to me. \u00a0I have never contemplated it with much sincerity. \u00a0Writing is such a joy for me, why would I ever quit? \u00a0And standing before a group of women, sharing what I have discovered to be true for me, brings me such satisfaction, that it has never felt like real work. \u00a0The body has begun to rebel though, and that’s what I am forced to acknowledge.<\/p>\n
What really got my attention in these matters is that my last workshop was presented in Jacksonville, FL and the morning of my keynote I awoke and quite literally had no recollection of where I was. \u00a0It scared me. \u00a0I probably was only in this “cloud,” for 12 or 15 seconds, but that was long enough. \u00a0It got my attention big time.<\/p>\n
And that brings me to the realization that my future needs to look a bit less busy than my past. \u00a0I want to experience having nothing on my calendar to prepare. \u00a0No trips to plan for. \u00a0I need to know what it’s like to wake up and say, “God, you direct. \u00a0I will follow.” \u00a0And then sit back and wait. \u00a0Simply wait. \u00a0And trust. \u00a0Simply trust.<\/p>\n
