{"id":3230,"date":"2014-02-08T13:38:55","date_gmt":"2014-02-08T19:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=3230"},"modified":"2014-02-08T13:38:55","modified_gmt":"2014-02-08T19:38:55","slug":"embracing-acceptance-nullifies-any-troubling-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=3230","title":{"rendered":"Embracing acceptance nullifies any troubling experience."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was at my AA home group this morning. \u00a0The topic was acceptance, a frequent choice, it seems. \u00a0And what&#8217;s unmistakably true is that it&#8217;s a necessary choice if we want to experience peace. \u00a0At no time in life will we be peaceful if we haven&#8217;t cultivated the practice of acceptance. \u00a0The good news is that once acceptance has been thoroughly cultivated, all we ever need to <strong><em>quietly<\/em> <\/strong>remember is the phrase, &#8220;Let go.&#8221; \u00a0At that point, God, ever so subtly, steps in. \u00a0Even sitting here writing this nudges me to drop my shoulders in a sign of acceptance. \u00a0Handing over to God what is so easily resolved by Him can become the habit that truly transforms one&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<p>Living in the space of quiet acceptance shifts, completely, the relationship any one of us has with any one else who crosses our path. \u00a0I have said in many other posts, and in any number of my books, that whomever we encounter on this leg of our journey, in fact, on any leg of our journey; we have agreed to encounter, prior to being born. \u00a0Once I latched on to this idea, I could feel the inner shift into a soft acceptance of absolutely every person, situation, or seeming problem. \u00a0How good that continues to feel. \u00a0How free from doubt it has made my life.<\/p>\n<p>The still festering inner wound that troubles so many is only as powerful as any one allows it to be. \u00a0The choice to move from disappointment, or discouragement, to a place of freedom, is a wise choice, a choice that is felt far and wide. \u00a0As a matter of fact, <em><strong>EVERY ONE IS AFFECTED BY EVERY CHOICE ANY ONE OF US MAKES<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0Does this seem extreme? \u00a0Perhaps. \u00a0It&#8217;s true, nonetheless. \u00a0The connectedness of everyone is a fact. \u00a0The promising thing about this idea is that we are never alone. \u00a0We are always in the sacred circle of life, even when we feel afraid and lonely. \u00a0Others are reaching toward us every minute. \u00a0In fact, those very individuals who seem to cause us grief are specifically &#8220;assigned to us&#8221; as teachers. \u00a0Rest assured that we are always meeting who we have been destined to meet. \u00a0Always.<\/p>\n<p>Simply surrendering to each situation as it presents itself to us, accepting it as the next hurdle we have been made ready for, changes us in soft, subtle ways, making us whole, peaceful and great stewards of this life we have been blessed to live. \u00a0Just say yes to each moment as it comes and experience the peace that indeed passes all understanding.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was at my AA home group this morning. \u00a0The topic was acceptance, a frequent choice, it seems. \u00a0And what&#8217;s unmistakably true is that it&#8217;s a necessary choice if we want to experience peace. \u00a0At no time in life will we be peaceful if we haven&#8217;t cultivated the practice of acceptance. \u00a0The good news is [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3230","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-what-i-believe-you-and-your-higher-power"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
