{"id":301,"date":"2010-02-17T11:39:17","date_gmt":"2010-02-17T16:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karencasey.wordpress.com\/?p=301"},"modified":"2010-02-17T11:39:17","modified_gmt":"2010-02-17T16:39:17","slug":"a-new-hip-is-like-a-new-beginning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=301","title":{"rendered":"A new hip is like a new beginning. . ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry I have been away for a while. \u00a0Surgery has a way of doing that to you. \u00a0It went well. \u00a0I got home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon but have not been able to sit at the computer. \u00a0Physical therapy is helping but the pain has a way of interfering with my thought processes. \u00a0I am getting around with a walker and will graduate to a cane in a few days. \u00a0My therapist and I walked outside for a short distance today and that was great. \u00a0The sun felt good and healing.<\/p>\n<p>And what a miraculous thing: she is a &#8220;course&#8221; student too and wants to come to the group that meets in our home when we resume. \u00a0There are no accidents. \u00a0I love that awareness.<\/p>\n<p>At noon today, a group of women are stopping by for a short meeting and bringing lunch. \u00a0That&#8217;s one of the beauties of recovery: we can always count on others to show up and walk us through the hard times. \u00a0I have to cut this short today. \u00a0I have sat in this chair as long as my hip will allow. \u00a0I just wanted to check in with you all and say I was doing well. \u00a0More in a day or two. \u00a0xoxoxo<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sorry I have been away for a while. \u00a0Surgery has a way of doing that to you. \u00a0It went well. \u00a0I got home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon but have not been able to sit at the computer. \u00a0Physical therapy is helping but the pain has a way of interfering with my thought processes.
