{"id":2796,"date":"2012-11-25T12:59:57","date_gmt":"2012-11-25T18:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=2796"},"modified":"2012-11-25T12:59:57","modified_gmt":"2012-11-25T18:59:57","slug":"shaking-the-blues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=2796","title":{"rendered":"Shaking the blues. . ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know I have been here before. \u00a0I get here every few months, in fact. \u00a0The blues settle in for a spell and then I remember all that I have to be grateful for. \u00a0It&#8217;s not that I ever really forget but I get lazy and complacent and seem to want something more. \u00a0I can&#8217;t put a name to what<strong> &#8220;that more is&#8221;<\/strong> however. \u00a0Fortunately I know the solution. \u00a0And it&#8217;s to be present to all the other God-chosen people who are on my path. \u00a0I&#8217;ve selected them, along with God as my guide. \u00a0And they have selected me too, for what we can teach one another. \u00a0Our journey has been divinely inspired. \u00a0Now I remember. \u00a0At last, \u00a0I remember.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the work of the ego when I get off track, I think. \u00a0The ego prefers that I not be quietly at peace. \u00a0It does it&#8217;s best work when I am unsure of myself. \u00a0Uncertain about the path I am on. \u00a0I feel fortunate that the ego \u00a0doesn&#8217;t hold sway over me all that often. \u00a0A moment here and there, for sure; but not for long spells any more. \u00a0I have not forgotten the pain of living in a constantly uncertain state, however. \u00a0The first few decades of my life were spent there. \u00a0I lived in fear about what was on the horizon. \u00a0Day after day I lived in dread. \u00a0I wasn&#8217;t able to even imagine that it could ever be different. \u00a0And then God began to show me there was another was to see, to be, to live and I mostly stay where He has taken me.<\/p>\n<p>Helping others to realize their good fortune is one obvious way for me to see my own. \u00a0I have been blessed in so many ways. \u00a0I have wonderful friends, great relationships with family members and work that makes every day worth getting up for. \u00a0 My life partner makes me laugh every day and he helps with every situation I have that seems too much for me to handle. \u00a0That we share a spiritual journey is the icing on the cake. \u00a0We talk the same language and believe the same spiritual principles. \u00a0I know he is in my corner every minute and I&#8217;m in his too.<\/p>\n<p>Not having to be concerned about the journey we share is truly a blessing, perhaps the biggest one of all. \u00a0He and I, along with God, will see our way through every situation that comes to call. \u00a0The blues need not be faced alone, not now. \u00a0Not ever. \u00a0Observing the goodness all around me is all I need to do.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know I have been here before. \u00a0I get here every few months, in fact. \u00a0The blues settle in for a spell and then I remember all that I have to be grateful for. \u00a0It&#8217;s not that I ever really forget but I get lazy and complacent and seem to want something more. \u00a0I can&#8217;t [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[4,8],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2796","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-circle-of-family-and-friends-you-and-your-personal-community","category-karens-musings"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
