{"id":2557,"date":"2012-07-04T12:05:49","date_gmt":"2012-07-04T17:05:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=2557"},"modified":"2012-06-30T12:06:16","modified_gmt":"2012-06-30T17:06:16","slug":"hitting-the-wall-with-the-blues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.womens-spirituality.com\/?p=2557","title":{"rendered":"Hitting the wall with the blues. . ."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been in a funk the last couple of weeks. \u00a0And I hate it. \u00a0I was reminded today, while reading my ACIM book, that <em><strong>we are always in the right place at the right time<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0And then at the AA meeting an hour later, the topic was <em><strong>the now<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0Readjusting my vision and aligning my attitude with those two ideas is the assignment. \u00a0Not just today but every day. \u00a0I surprisingly feel far better already.<\/p>\n<p>I know well the slogan: <strong>this too shall pass<\/strong>. \u00a0I repeat it to others regularly. \u00a0However, I need the nudge from those same others to remember it myself on occasion. \u00a0This is one of those occasions. \u00a0Thank God I went to the meeting even though I was 15 minutes late.<\/p>\n<p>Getting caught in the trap of &#8220;out there,&#8221; instead of &#8220;in here&#8221; and <strong>right now<\/strong>, has been my struggle throughout my life. \u00a0I well know there is no moment but now. \u00a0However, I haven&#8217;t lived in <strong>this moment<\/strong>\u00a0very often in these last few weeks. \u00a0I have been concerned about my many commitments throughout the remainder of the year, and next year too. \u00a0Egads, I may not even be alive for them and having my head there means I&#8217;m already dead to this present moment. \u00a0What an insane way to exist. \u00a0And I&#8217;m tired of it.<\/p>\n<p>As of this moment I am making the commitment<strong> to be here now<\/strong>. \u00a0There is no other time. \u00a0No other place. \u00a0God is here. \u00a0Not out there. \u00a0Not then. \u00a0But now. \u00a0It&#8217;s funny how refreshing this feels to say this. \u00a0It&#8217;s as though I am learning it for the first time. \u00a0I know that I will handle all that is mine to handle. \u00a0I do believe we are never given more than we are meant to have. \u00a0 And I also know that God is my helper on every assignment.<\/p>\n<p>I feel as though I have been chosen for the work I do. \u00a0And I am grateful for this work. \u00a0But I have not been told to do it <strong>ALONE<\/strong>. \u00a0That&#8217;s been my misunderstanding these last few weeks. \u00a0Inviting &#8220;my partner&#8221; to rejoin me on each task will make them easier, more fulfilling and they will meet the expectations of others too. \u00a0What a nice idea to remember. \u00a0Are you letting the God of your understanding help you on a daily basis? \u00a0If not, give it a try. \u00a0It will make every task more fruitful. \u00a0You will be more peaceful too. \u00a0I promise.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been in a funk the last couple of weeks. \u00a0And I hate it. \u00a0I was reminded today, while reading my ACIM book, that we are always in the right place at the right time. \u00a0And then at the AA meeting an hour later, the topic was the now. \u00a0Readjusting my vision and aligning [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[8,12],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2557","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-karens-musings","category-what-i-believe-you-and-your-higher-power"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
