Being focused on any one else will prevent us from doing the work we are here to<\/p>\n

It\u2019s far too easy to sit in judgment of others, to criticize them silently or audibly.\u00a0 It has<\/p>\n
become important to me to remember that every person alive has a very specific jour-<\/p>\n
ney, one that will intersect mine on occasion; sometimes we will be at cross-purposes,<\/p>\n
in fact.\u00a0 But the intersection is where the lesson lies for both people.<\/p>\n
Every one\u2019s activities, and we all have a legion of them, are filled with purpose.\u00a0 And<\/p>\n
if we are wondering about the purpose of some one\u2019s else\u2019s activities, we are failing to<\/p>\n
appreciate our own purpose.\u00a0 And maybe our own is not always obvious.\u00a0 In those in-<\/p>\n
stances, I remember the wise words of a good friend, \u201cWhen in doubt about your <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n purpose, speak kindly to the next person you see.\u00a0 That\u2019s fulfilling God\u2019s will in <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n that moment.\u201d <\/em><\/strong> This has never failed to bring me comfort.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s pay attention to the people around us but that doesn\u2019t mean letting their activi-<\/p>\n ties become our primary concern.\u00a0 We share a path to learn from one another.\u00a0 But we<\/p>\n aren\u2019t here to judge.\u00a0 Not ever.
