Nary a one of you reading this is stumped by how to finish this sentence. \u00a0No matter what path we have traveled to this point in our journey, we have heard that as certain doors close, \u00a0new ones always open. \u00a0It’s a principle we can count on. \u00a0And the new doors are always leading us to the next better place for us to be to experience that next level of knowledge or a deeper spiritual awareness or perhaps a detour that, at first, seems like a wrong turn but ends up being exactly where we had always hoped to go but hadn’t dared to reveal to any one.<\/p>\n
The real point of this is that there is never anything to be afraid of. \u00a0Wherever we are is the perfect place to be at any moment and we are always being accompanied by the companion God has sent to watch over us. \u00a0Call him your guardian angel, the Holy Spirit<\/em>, or just your friend. \u00a0He doesn’t care. \u00a0All he cares about is that you know he’s there and that you have nothing, absolutely nothing to worry about. Rely on him for all answers and peace will be your experience.<\/p>\n If you are like me, you might not have grown up with this bit of spiritual philosophy as a guideline. \u00a0It wasn’t part “of the handbook” passed on to me by my parents. \u00a0We weren’t a church going family even though I always assumed we were “believers.” \u00a0It was a fear-based family instead; and the idea that a “hovering angel” was watching over me simply was never suggested.<\/p>\n How I wish it had been. \u00a0Thousands of hours of debilitating anxiety might have been avoided, and yet I do believe that when the door finally opened to the set of beliefs I now hold, I was ready to walk through it. \u00a0I needed to progress to where I was on the continuum of life or the door might have been reclosed by me after one look inside.<\/p>\n We are ready when we are ready. \u00a0And not before. \u00a0That’s actually comforting.
